Bobby Johnson

April 2, 1943 — May 12, 2021

PARK HILLS - Bobby Clyde Johnson, 78, of Park Hills passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born and raised in Whistler, Alabama, during a time where everyone had to pitch in at an early age just to survive so he began working at a young age to help his family. He believed in giving any job 110% and he always had an amazing work ethic. At the start of his adult career, he worked for Haas Davis, a meat packing plant in Chickasaw, Al. before moving on to Delchamps Grocery, then B+H Grocery and finally Greer's Supermarket where he worked as the market manager before becoming a district supervisor. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Effie Mae Johnson; sister, Katie Mae Brady, sister, Margaret Weaver, brother, Johnny Earl Johnson, sister, Barbara Anne Barnes, sister, Tina Kubik and one very special longtime friend, Johnnie Mae Davis. He is survived by his devoted wife of forty-three years, Terry Snider Johnson, brother Frankie (Janet) Johnson, five daughters, Judy (Mitch) Hammons, Tammy (Terry) Holland, Bobbie (Ryan) Slawson, Susan Michelle Bridgers and Ambra Nicole Johnson. Eight grandchildren, Brandy Hart, Brook (Lee) Griffin, Todd Beals, Christy Lynd, Christen Moore, Elizabeth Dixon, Zachary Slawson and Jessica Slawson. Ten great grandchildren, Kaela Villanueva, Madison Imbrenda, Haleigh Calaway, Breawna Villanueva, Sean Michael Whisenhunt, Aiden Moore, Alyssa Armstrong, Cadyn Lynd, James Patrick Beals and Reagan Hart. Three very special long-time friends, Reginald Davis, K.C and Colan Taylor and last but not least one special pet, Ellie. After retiring, Bobby and Terry moved to Park Hills, Missouri where he took great pleasure in the small things, taking a drive through the mountains, trying his luck at catching some fish, or just simply being out in nature listening to the many great sounds of the birds chirping or frogs croaking. Bobby could sometimes seem larger than life and maybe not so nice to someone who may not have known him when deep down he was a hard-working, tough as nails man who loved his family with all his heart who enjoyed spending time with them keeping everyone laughing with his great sense of humor and great story telling. He was a man of great faith who loved the Lord deeply. A memorial service will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 3 p.m. View the tribute video and share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
