Joseph Charles Cheaney

FARMINGTON Joseph Charles Cheaney, of Farmington, passed away December 22, 2015 at St. Louis University at the age of 24 years. He was born in Farmington, Missouri on March 31, 1991 to Kathleen Bergner and Timothy Cheaney who survive. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Helen and Douglas Cheaney; maternal grandmother, Florence Bowling; step grandfather, Bill Cain; cousins, Dustin Cheaney, Kylie Clark and Eric Gore as well as great aunts and uncles.

Joe was a life long resident of the Farmington area and had worked in the roofing and construction business. He will be remembered for his love for others. Many times he voluntarily mowed lawns for others who were friends and neighbors. His kids, whom he adored, were the world to him. Joe will be remembered by family and friends for taking many selfies.

Survivors in addition to his mother and father are his step-father, Sam Bergner; his daughters, Keira, Joslynn and Airella Cheaney; his step-children, Blake Head and Taylor Sharp; his wife, Timberly, who he was departed from; brothers, Timothy Ringo Cheaney, II and Douglas Ringo Cheaney, II; a sister, Belinda Marie Cheaney; step sisters, Amy Leann Bergner and Samiejo Renee Thompson; his maternal grandfather, Delmar Ray Bowling; great grandmother, Grace Burg; step-grandmother, Sharon Cain; brother-in-law, Talley Martin; beloved fianc, Elizabeth Ditch; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 30 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, December 31 beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 10 a.m. with Father James Dyer officiating.
