Lela Imogene Tinsley of Farmington went home to the Lord on November 13, 2010, at the age of 81 years. She was born on October 2, 1929, at Lesterville, the daughter of the late Nancy Elizabeth (Sutterfield) and John Henry Pinkley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Bill Tinsley, an infant son, Bruce Lee Tinsley, three brothers, Oren Pinkley, Louis Pinkley and Henry Pinkley and a sister, Mildred Parker. Imogene was a member of the Park Hills United Methodist Church. She studied genealogy and her original research material was published in what is generally referred to as the red Pinkley book. In her later years she made dozens of quilts for children and donated them to the local women's shelter. She was a special friend to all and a loving companion to many. She is mourned by her daughter, Nancy Camden of Farmington, a son, Randall Tinsley (Mary) of Hampton, VA, two sisters, Ina Lashley of Farmington, and Dorris Irene Roos of Springfield, MO, a brother, Willys Pinkley of DeSoto, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Interment will be at the Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Presbyterian Manor of Farmington.
