Richard Mathias Hennen

KIRKWOOD Richard Mathias Hennen of Kirkwood passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at his home at the age of 80 years. He was born July 17, 1935 at Richmond, Minnesota son of the late Martin and Delphine (Berger) Hennen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Verna M. (Clifton) Hennen.

Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957. Before retirement he made his living in the construction trade as a heavy equipment operator and project supervisor. He was member of the St. Peter Catholic Church of Kirkwood, American Legion Post 133 of Perryville and the Farmington AMVETS Post 113.

He is survived by three sons Damon Hennen of Gallatin, MO, Darren Hennen of Kansas City, MO, and Davon Hennen of Gallatin, MO, three brothers Elmer Hennen, Ralph Hennen, and Raymond Hennen, a sister Eileen Fink, sister-in-law Annabelle Clifton, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the York Chapel Cemetery near Longtown, MO by Father Milton F. Ryan, C.M. with full military honors to follow.
