Steven Douglas Zimpfer

October 18, 1950 — January 30, 2017

FARMINGTON Steven Douglas Zimpfer of Farmington, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at his residence at the age of 66 years. He was born on October 18, 1950 in St. Louis, son of the late Edward Irwin and Marie Katherine (Meng) Zimpfer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brother, Edward Zimpfer, Jr., Gary Zimpfer, and Joel Zimpfer.

Steve was retired from the Missouri Natural Gas Company in Farmington where he had worked many years. He was a long-time member of the United Memorial Methodist Church of Farmington and of the Ozark Beagle Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his daughter Katie Zimpfer of Festus, granddaughter Trinity White of Festus, two sisters, Carol Kohler of Jefferson City and Sherry Zimpfer of Desoto, and many other relatives, dear friends, and neighbors.

The family will hold a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory with the Reverend Scott Hall officating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to either the Zion Lutheran Church of Pevely or the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington.
