STE. GENEVIEVE Agnes Swain, of Ste. Genevieve passed away at the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born April 25, 1933 in Leonville, LA to the late Fancois Regis Robin and Theresa (Lormand) Robin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Aaron Haddad and Ryan Haddad; her former husband and father to her children, Marvin Swain; a sister, Alenia Wheaton and two brothers, Raymond Robin and infant brother, Herman Robin.
A friend to many, Agnes was a Godly, loving, caring and nurturing person. Her Cajun girl roots and heritage were a big part of her life which were evident in her cooking and story telling. A woman who could out-talk anybody, she loved music and singing and she enjoyed fishing and camping as well as gardening.
Survivors are her children, Christine (Ray Barnes) Hall, Marvin Keith Swain, Nathan Wayne (Sandra) Swain, Deborah (Clint) Davis, Sandra Gay (Dean Carron) Swain, Stephen Craig (Susan) Swain; former sons-in-law, Ed Finley and his wife, Donna, and Mansour Haddad; her grandchildren, Chris (Cydney) Hall, Allyssa Swain, Sean Haddad, Amy Stout, Charles Finley, Tammy Finley, Rex Finley, Isaiah Finley, Joannes Finley, Justin Robertson, Jarad Swain, Krystal Swain and Jada Swain; great grandchildren, Sophia, L. J., Petie, Chelsea, Breanna, Tyler, Abby, Cheyenne, Blake, Faith and Jason; a brother, Allen Robin; a sister, Beatrice Robin; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family
