FARMINGTON – Albert Cletus Comte passed away in his home on April 14, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 27, 1940, to the late Cletus Norbert Comte and Anne Helen (Siudut) Comte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Comte.
Albert attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Farmington, where he graduated from high school. In June of 1960, he entered the U. S. Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in June of 1963. When Albert returned from his military service, he farmed and raised black Angus cattle on the family farm outside of Farmington. An avid outdoorsman, Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the country life. He was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his sister, Patricia Halasz; two nieces, one nephew; three great nieces and three great nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington with military honors. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
