FARMINGTON - Anthony "Tony" Taylor passed away in the comfort of his home on October 21, 2018 in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 59. He was born on March 5, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Arthur D. Taylor and Jannie Miller. Tony found the love of his life and married Ginger on June 13, 1981, and says this was the best thing he ever did. They shared thirty seven years of love and commitment and raised two daughters together. They came from humble beginnings and learned early in life that the love of God and family is everything. Tony worked the majority of his career for Gifford Homes in sales and management and like most things in life, was loyal and devoted to his work. He felt honored to be considered part of the Gifford family. He served on the Missouri Manufactured Housing Association Board. He also was an active member in the American Cut Glass Association and served on the ethics and authenticity and pattern identification committees. His greatest passion, however, was sharing the word of Christ with others through his association with Gideons International. Those that love him remember him as a witty, wise, steadfast, hardworking, analytical, funny, generous and God loving man. He was dedicated to his family and loved hiking, fly fishing, antiquing, drumming, and most of all, playing with his grandchildren. He found peace in God and being outdoors, and he loved his trips to Montana. He was a faithful servant to the Lord from the time he accepted Jesus Christ in his life as an adult. God transformed him, and he was committed to sharing the faith through his relationships, his invitational disposition, and his dedication to New Heights Church. Tony is survived by his wife, Ginger Taylor of Farmington, his mother, Jannie Miller of Farmington, his daughters, Amber (& husband Jason) Nichols of Yorkville, Illinois and Ashley (& husband Jack) Rodemann of Kirkwood, six grandchildren, Zachary Nichols, Aaden Nichols, Cohen Nichols, Ruby Rodemann, Clara Rodemann, and Hazel Rodemann, his siblings, Pamela Williams of Eunice, Louisiana, Sandra (& husband Frank) Ruiz of New Iberia, Louisiana, Katherine (& husband Bernard) Courville of Eunice, Louisiana, and Shannon (& wife Jodie) Taylor of Clover, South Carolina, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Taylor and his brother, David Taylor. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at New Heights Church of Farmington, Missouri and the funeral will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow at the same location. Pastor Rocky Good and dearest friend will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tony's life.
