Billy Wheelehan

PARK HILLS Billy Paul Wheelehan, 70, of Park Hills, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 23, 1945 in Pittsburgh, California son of the late Paul Vincent and Helen Pauline (Webb) Wheelehan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Paulette Shook and Patricia Devine, one brother Richard Wheelehan and two grandsons, Matthew Bridgeman and Chad Galster.

Billy retired from the Doe Run Company where he had been employed as a miner. In his spare time he liked fishing but particularly enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children and step-children, Michael (&Angie) Wheelehan, Kimberly Wheelehan, Michelle (& Brian) Gibbs, Jeremiah (& Stephanie) Wheelehan, Melissa Sutton,Les (& Michelle) Thomas, Jr., Theresa Faulkner, and Heather Thomas, his former spouse and the mother of his children Mary Wheelehan-Sparks, a sister Elizabeth "Betty" Hensler, two brothers Joseph (& Sharon) Wheelehan and James Wheelehan, nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Per Billy's request there will be no formal services. His family plans to gather to remember him in a special way at a later date. Billy will be laid to rest by his family in the Iron Mountain Cemetery at Iron Mountain. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
