FARMINGTON – Bonnie June Brown of Farmington, passed away unexpectedly at Parkland Health Center in Farmington on October 15, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born in St. Francois County to the late Aaron Earl Cartee and Edna Virginia (Barnes) Huff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Cartee; a sister, Virginia Carr; four grandchildren, Christina Renna, Kali Wright, Aaron Wilson, and Jake Barton; sons-in-law, Brit Wilson, Curtis Amsden, and Dennis Renna.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Dallas Brown; children, Joanna “Joie” (Mike) Barton of Park Hills, Tracy Renna of Farmington, Paula (Bryan) Chilton of Lesterville, Kim Brown (Paul Richardson) of Doniphan, Randy Hooe of Jackson, and Cheryl Huffman of Doniphan; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Becker. Also surviving are many nieces, nephew, cousins and many special friends.
Bonnie grew up attending the Cartee School near Doe Run and to this day she was still an avid supporter volunteering her time to preserve the history of the Cartee School. She worked for the Farmington Pants Factory and then she went on to work for the Premier Linen Service until her retirement. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with Dallas and their family at their place on the St. Francis River. She also liked shopping and working puzzles, but more than anything she loved talking on the phone with all her friends and family. Bonnie played the piano beautifully and also played the accordion.
God does make special people and all who knew Bonnie could see that. She was a very loving, caring, helpful, and beautiful woman who loved her family unconditionally. She was an amazing grandma who gave warm hugs and provided sweet memories. She always had time to make her grandchildren feel special.
Bonnie was a woman of faith and attended the Bismarck Assembly of God. What an Earth angel!
Do not forget to be kind to strangers, for some who have done this
have entertained angels without realizing it. Heb. 13:2
