Bonnie Louise Keys of Farmington passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 22, 2026 at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 91. She was born in Ironton, Missouri on December 24, 1934 to the late Fred Fisher and Monetta (Anderson) Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Billy Fisher, Virginia Lewis, Ruth Ramsey, and Leona Morris; three children, Fred Nicholson, Brenda Nicholson, and Barbara Nicholson; and two grandchildren, Angie Thompson, and Julie Nicholson.

Bonnie grew up in the Elvins area where she attended school. For thirty seven years, she was employed at Southeast Missouri Mental Health as a recreational therapist. After her retirement, she didn't slow down much. She maintained part time jobs doing things she enjoyed. Bonnie loved watching birds, enjoyed painting, crocheting, and was known for her quilt work. Her wonderful creativity was evident in the many projects she has made for family members. Traveling, playing cards, and board games were also favorite pastimes of Bonnie's. Her cooking and baking skills are intertwined with many of her families' favorite memories. Her grandbabies and great-grandbabies were the light of her life.

Her faith was of the utmost importance to Bonnie. She read her bible regularly and sought to guide her family to faith as well. She was an active member of the Delasus Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Thompson; grandchildren, Dale, Dawn, Wendy, Katie, Joshua, Samantha, and Loren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

There will be a memorial gathering for friends and family on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Cozean Memorial Chapel beginning at 12 noon, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob Webb officiating. A private interment will be held at Arcadia Valley in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Bonnie's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
