Carl David Nicholson

Carl David "Spooky" Nicholson, of Ste. Genevieve passed away May 19, 2012 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 63. He was born March 23, 1949 in Farmington to the late Carl Russell and Lucille Mae (Killian) Nicholson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Nicholson, Russell Nicholson; and a sister, Joann Sutton. A 1969 graduate of Farmington High School, Carl went on to join the U. S. Army immediately following graduation. In 1977 he was honorably discharged from the military and came back home to Farmington where he met and married the love of his life, Marsha Arnold from Ironton. He worked as an auto assembler for 23 years at Chrysler in Fenton and retired from there in 2006. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His grandson, Caleb "Scooter" was the apple of his eye and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second grandson due in July. Although he was a man of few words, he showed his love through being a person who always had time to help friends and family with anything they needed. Survivors include his wife, Marsha, his two daughters, Amy (Cory) Eichorn of St. Louis and Erin (Kevin Krause) Nicholson of Boone, Iowa; grandson, Caleb "Scooter" Eichorn; four brothers, Roger "Fuzzy", Danny, Vernon and Tommy Nicholson; four sisters, Alice Arment, Kathy Nicholson, Kim Nicholson and Clara Triplett; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. Friends and family may call Wednesday, May 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory with services to follow in the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Thomas officiating.
