Charles Henry Crismon

Charles "Chas" Henry Crismon of Farmington passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the age of 87. He was born on May 19, 1926, in Maynard, AR, son of the late Noah and Fern Crismon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Herbst and his son, Mark Crismon. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Lena Lee Simons. Charles was a hardworking man throughout his entire life. He retired from K.C. Vending in 1991. He was community minded and gave of himself through donating time to the Meals on Wheels program. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was active in the Thursday Bible Study Group and the Men's Club. He will be remembered for being a devoted husband, father and grandpa who always maintained a great sense of humor and positive attitude. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lorene; son-in-law, David Herbst; daughter-in-law, Catherine Crismon; two grandchildren, Tracy Kocher and Lisa Smout and husband Scott; three great-grandchildren, Claire, Emma and Sam Smout; a brother, James B. Crismon and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume in the funeral home on Saturday morning from 7 to 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. with Pastor James King officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Tip Hospice or the St. Paul Lutheran Building Fund.
