Charles William Medley

Charles William Medley of Farmington passed away December 16, 2015 at Mercy Jefferson in Crystal City at the age of 89. He was born October 24, 1926 in St. Louis to the late Oscar and Margaret (Parmley) Medley.

Mr. Medley was a prominent attorney in Farmington. He practiced law in Missouri for over fifty years. After his retirement he and his wife, Sara enjoyed extensive travel and he also enjoyed playing golf at St. Francois Country Club. He worked as a mediator for the Missouri Bar Association after his retirement. He was a member of the Farmington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Sara Allen (Posey) Medley; a son, Steven Charles Medley of Florissant, MO and Lea (Bill) Rice of Raymore, MO; four grandchildren, Robin (Darren) Antrim, Chad Mosley, Sara (Jon) Larue and Spencer Medley; and four great-grandchildren, Charlie, Jack, Hanna and Hailey.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 18 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning at 7 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Dr. Bill Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Knob Lick Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Farmington First Baptist Church.
