David Lee Bailey, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on December 3, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Desloge at the age of 81. He was born on February 22, 1944 in Oates, Missouri to the late Earl G. and Beulah M. (Mathis) Bailey.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Logan (Robert); his nephews, Robert Logan Jr. (Crystal) and Justin Logan (Lori); his great nieces and nephews, Josh Logan, Emily Hodges, Josiah Logan, Alaina Logan, Lilly Kohut, Bryson Logan, and Levi Logan; and his uncle, Chuck Bailey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Bailey, and his brothers, Billy Bailey and Denver Bailey.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served for many years as a minister in the Southern Baptist faith, sharing the gospel with dedication and compassion. He enjoyed fixing and restoring old automobiles and was known as a handyman who could repair nearly anything. His skills, kindness, and willingness to help others were appreciated by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Cemetery in Oates, Missouri, with full military honors. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
