FARMINGTON – David C. Horn of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on May 26, 2025, at his home at the age of 82. He was born February 24, 1943, in Riverside, California to the late David B. Horn and Virginia Christine (Gilkey) Horn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Horn; his sister, Anita Burnett, and his special horse, Dancer.
On January 4, 1962, David married the love of his life, JoAnn (Townsend) Horn. They enjoyed a long marriage with many happy memories. David worked for General Motors for thirty years, retiring in 1992. Throughout his lifetime, he had many hobbies, such as woodworking, building classic cars, cross-country motorcycle trips, boating, fishing, and hunting. He especially loved his horses and his favorite old car, his 1941 Ford Coupe. In his spare time, David loved to just piddle around. He often drove an old wagon with a team of mules and participated in many parades. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he always cherished spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; his daughter, Pamela K. Dunlap Horn; three grandchildren, Davie (Micheal Marks) Prather, David Dunlap and Matt Dunlap; great-grandchildren, Kayla (Cole Laurence) Miller, Austin Dunlap, Blake Dunlap, and Haylee Marks; extended family members and many good friends.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025, beginning at 4 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
