David Allen Jones, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2026, at his residence at the age of 68. He was born on November 21, 1957, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.

David is survived by his wife of 31 years, Leslie Ann (Henderson) Jones; his children, David Allen Jones II (Nicole) and Paul William Jones; and his granddaughter, Emilia Charlotte Jones. He is also survived by his brothers, Dave Beech (Sharon), Doug Beech (Laurie), Ross Cater (Karen), Roger Cater, Monty Jeter (Shannon), and Harry Murry; his sister, Winnie Hart (Bill Sr.); his aunts, Mary Hull and Joannie Hickman; his cousin, Betty Jean Thomas; his nephew, Charlie Weaver (Tanya Sinclair); his niece, Rebecca Demaria (Dalton); his great-nieces and great-nephew, Bryn, Milo, and Tate; his mother-in-law, B. Joanne Henderson; his sister-in-law, Sherri Weaver; his previous foreign exchange students, Julian, Sina, Jonny, Irina, and Audrey; his canine companions, Rhett and Scarlett, whom he loved spoiling with treats; as well as many nieces, nephews, and special friends. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Paul Jones; his mother, Betty (Shanks) Jones-Hughes; his stepfather, Charles Hughes; and his brother, John Michael Jones.

David obtained an associate degree in Fire Science and dedicated his life to serving others as a Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic with the Brentwood Fire Department, where he worked for more than 30 years.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Farmington Elks Lodge #1765. In his spare time, David enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, collecting full beer bottles from around the world, golfing, and collecting hats. He was also a fan of the St. Louis Blues. David was known for his unmatched sense of humor and his ability to make others laugh. He treasured time spent with family and friends and enjoyed the many relationships he formed throughout his life. His kindness, laughter, and friendship will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 8:00 until 9:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor David Schmitt officiating. David will be laid to rest following the funeral service at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington.
