Diana May

Diana May, of Farmington, entered into rest on July 21, 2025, at her residence following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer, at the age of 64. She was born on February 25, 1961, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late Robert J. Pate and Mary Ann (Crites) Pate.

Diana is survived by her son, Jason Barber, and loving sister Robin (Dwayne) Sohn. Her grandchildren Clayton Barber, Bailee Barber, Calvin Barber, and Carter and Austin Stokes, along with their mother, Dana (Ben) Stokes; and grandson Tatum Barber, with his mother Joni Carr. Also surviving is her Aunt Tressa Crites; niece and nephew Jimmy Nicholson and Melissa (Cody) Halter; great-nieces and nephews Brody Nicholson, Jase Nicholson, Aidan Halter, Alex Halter, and Autumn Halter.

Diana will also be dearly remembered by special families close to her heart, including Justin (Annie) Underwood and Gavin Underwood, her beloved dogs DC and Jan, and many cousins and cherished friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Braden May, and her son, Kendall May.

Diana owned and operated a beloved hair salon, The Hair Affair, in Farmington for many years, and later worked at Ron’s Tire, where she built lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike.

She had a big heart for animals and found joy in rescuing them. Diana also loved hunting, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, and embarking on fun adventures with friends. Her vibrant spirit and deep love for her family and friends will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Morgan officiating.
