Donald “Buck” Walters, of Farmington, Missouri, entered eternal rest on May 31, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 80. He was born on July 23, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Buck is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Walters; his sisters-in-law, Carol Johnson of Farmington and Debbie Clim of Park Hills; his brothers-in-law, Tom Pezel of Desloge and Jim Montgomery of St. Louis; and his special friend, Mike Clim. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, as well as his many friends from the Steak ’n Shake Breakfast Club, which he proudly started.

Buck was preceded in death by his mother, Mable (Engleman) Walters; his sisters, Jane Pezel and Karen Mai; and his nephews, Jeff Johnson and Tony Clim.

Buck faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated 52½ years of employment as a lab assistant with Doe Run Lead Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.

Buck enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He especially looked forward to celebrating the Fourth of July each year at his sister-in-law Debbie’s home, where his fun-loving spirit earned him the nickname “The Wild Man of Lewis Street.” Buck never met a stranger and was always ready with a story, a laugh, or a friendly conversation. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals and treasured the vacations he and Linda shared in Florida over the years.
