Doris Schoonover, of Farmington, Missouri, entered eternal rest on June 18, 2026, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Missouri, at the age of 94. She was born on May 29, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late William R. and Mildred I. (Leigh) Bell.

Doris is survived by her children, Jackie Smith (David), Bob Schoonover (Diane), and Ronald Schoonover. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Ramie. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Schoonover; her sons, Terry Schoonover and Danny Schoonover; and her siblings, Bernice Griffith, James Bell, Clifton Bell, Phillip Bell, and Thelma Sales.

Doris was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and home. She dedicated more than twenty years of volunteer service to the Farmington Ministerial Alliance, where she touched countless lives through her kindness and generosity. In her spare time, Doris enjoyed shopping at yard sales, sewing, and gardening. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured the time spent with her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillview Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the Farmington Ministerial Alliance. View the video tribute and share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
