Edith Tawfall of Farmington, passed away October 30, 2013 at the age of 94. She was born April 7, 1919 in Libertyville, Missouri to the late Edward Dow Pipkin and Hattie Elizabeth (Alexander) Pipkin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edward Tawfall in 1995, two brothers, Russell and Joseph Pipkin and a sister, Faye Parker. Edith was a farmer's wife and worked at Trimfoot for many years. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, an avid bowler and quilter. She made over 200 baby quilts while a resident at Presbyterian Manor. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Blumenberg and husband, Wayne of Farmington, a son, Edward Tawfall and wife, Loretta of Carlinville, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Teresa (James) Love, Lori Clayton, Brian (Deb) Blumenberg, Darla Welch, Kyle (Kim) Blumenberg, Eric (Liz) Tawfall and Mark (Kat) Tawfall; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor James King officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials will be accepted to St. Paul Lutheran Church organ fund.
