FARMINGTON – Edna J. Arnold went to her eternal home on May 27, 2025, at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 95. She was born at home in Knob Lick, Missouri on March 22, 1930, to the late James H. Clark and Blanche (Mathews) Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Arnold, Jr., and two sisters, Barbara Clark and Margaret Clark.

Edna was raised in Knob Lick on the family farm. After graduating from High School in 1948, Edna began teaching in the fall of 1948 at Valley Forge School east of Farmington. She received her bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau and later her master’s degree from Missouri University. Her long and successful career spanned many years as she taught elementary education in Farmington for 31 years and was the principal at Doe Run School and W. L. Johns School in Farmington for a good number of years.

In 1965, she was married in Farmington to Charles E. Arnold, Jr. Edna was an avid reader. She volunteered at the Farmington Senior Center and the Women’s Outlet Store. A member of Park Hills United Methodist Church, she was an active participant in work and activities there.

She is survived by several cousins and many good friends.

There will be a visitation beginning at 12 noon on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Cozean Memorial Chapel.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Cindy Sadler officiating.  Interment will be at Knob Lick Cemetery immediately following the service.
