Evelyn "Susie" Sue Brewer

Evelyn “Susie” Sue Brewer, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on September 21, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on March 26, 1942, in Shannon County, Missouri, to the late Arthur and Laura (Cook) Duff.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Irma Lee Dobey of Eminence, Missouri; Ruth Ann “Annie” Young and her husband Kevin of Farmington, Missouri; and William Thomas “Bill” Brewer II and his wife Bobbie Jo of Sommersville, Missouri. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Maggie Sammons and her husband Bob, Josh Brewer, Amanda Robinson, Sandra Woods and her husband Allen, Becky Young, Jacob Brewer, Jaxson (Dorothy) Brewer, and Jordan Brewer. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Rachel Croft, Gracie Webb, D.J. Robinson, Gwen Robinson, Sereniti Young, Jeffrey Brewer, Xaviel Woods, Thomas Brewer, Thomas Robinson, Gabriella Brewer, Allyanna Brewer, and McKinley Brewer and two great-great-grandchildren: James Croft and Harry Joseph Croft. Evelyn also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Thomas Edward “T. Tom” Brewer, who passed away in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Tommy Duff, Dorothy Bereniski, James “Jim” Duff, Alice Plunkett, and Clara Lee Bilyue.

Evelyn worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Thomas Dell Nursing Home and Maehill Care Center, now known as Community Manor. She found joy in sewing and in watching classic westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., also at Cozean Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Haney. Interment will follow at Mayberry Cemetery.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
