FARMINGTON - Ford Wayne Stevens passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Camelot Nursing Center & Rehab Center, a the age of 90 years. He was born on March 4, 1922, in Fredericktown, son of the late Oma Lee (Barker) and Newton Stevens. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Flora Virginia (Buckner) Stevens, a son, Wayne L. Stevens, daughter-in-law, Penelope Elrod, two sisters, a brother, and second wife, Ruby June (Lotz) Stevens. Mr. Stevens was a member of the Scottish and York Masonic Rites and past Master of the Marcus Masonic Lodge #110 of Fredericktown. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Before retirement, he worked as a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. He is survived by a son, Ronald Stevens of Farmington, a daughter, Debbie Stevens Cheatham (John) of St. Louis, daughter-in-law Patricia (Stevens) Janke of Atlanta, GA, six grandchildren, Tamara Beckman (Jeff), Wayne L. Stevens (Kim), Stephanie Pullin (Ben), Melissa Cheatham- Davenport, Tracie Sessler (Bobby), and Jacqueline Shields (Joe), nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012. Visitation will resume Saturday at 7 a.m. with a funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Berck officiating. Interment will follow at Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.
