George "Junior" Benedek

George Benedek “Junior” entered eternal rest on May 4, 2026, at NHC Healthcare in Desloge, at the age of 79. He was born on June 11, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late George Benedek and Rita (Bond) Benedek.

George is survived by his sister, Rita Lindell (Fred); his brother, Mike Benedek (Marie); his granddaughter, Sarah Benedek; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his NHC family, all of whom will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Benedek and Rita (Bond) Benedek.

George was a man of deep faith who loved the Lord and found joy in life’s simple blessings. He had a special love for fish tanks, as well as feeding the birds outside and watching them gather. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
