Glenda Edwards

Glenda Edwards, of Farmington, passed away December 6, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 62. She was born April 5, 1953 in Bonne Terre to the late Fred "Bud" and Hilda Edgar. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant child, an infant sister, Lana Renee Edgar, mother-in-law, Marjorie Edwards and her first husband and the father of her children, Donald DeBrusky.

Glenda was a hardworking and dedicated person who was very artistically talented. She touched many lives through her profession as a baker having made many wedding cakes and birthday cakes. She taught cake decorating classes at Mineral Area College and with her husband she had owned Krak N Jaks Bakery and Donuts in Farmington until her retirement in 2013. Glenda was an animal lover who adopted many critters throughout her lifetime. Cruising around in her classic convertible was one of her favorite pastimes. Her greatest passion in life was her family and enjoying time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, David "Dave" Edwards, her daughters, Tifinie (Marty, Jr.) Litton, Melonie (Dan) Tucker, Brittany (Shane) Earley and Courtney (Brad) Detring; seventeen grandchildren, a sister, Brenda (Mike) Haney; a brother, Keith (Carol) Edgar, sisters-in-law Diane Berry and Denise (Kent) Nelson; father-in-law, Marvin (Mona) Edwards; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from 5 8 p.m. with visitation resuming Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. followed by the funeral at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Mike Haney officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
