    1. Harry Ernest Schrum, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at 5:14 a.m. at
    2. Parkland Hospital in Farmington, MO, surrounded by his loving family. Harry was a devoted
    3. husband, loving father and grandfather, faithful servant of Jehovah, and loyal friend whose
    4. steady faith, kindness, humor, and example touched many throughout his life.
    5. Harry was born on June 24, 1946, on the family farm in Potosi, Missouri, to Hueston Schrum
    6. and Margaret (Politte) Schrum. Raised with strong values, hard work, and a deep appreciation
    7. for family, Harry carried those qualities with him throughout his entire life.
    8. Above all else, Harry loved Jehovah with his whole heart. His faith guided his decisions, shaped
    9. the way he treated others, and remained the foundation of his life. Baptized on May 21, 1983,
    10. Harry faithfully served Jehovah for many years and was appointed an elder in 1986. He was
    11. known for his calm spirit, dependable nature, and willingness to encourage and
    12. help others  whenever needed. Harry also dedicated nearly 32 years of service to General Motors
    13.  before retiring on August 1, 1996. He took pride in his work and was respected for his strong work ethic,
    14. reliability, and commitment throughout his career.  Harry shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with the love of
    15. his life, Sandee. Together they built a close and loving family centered on faith, loyalty, and genuine care for one another. He
      • was a devoted father to his four sons and took great pride in each of his children, grandchildren,
      • and great-grandchildren. His family will always remember his quiet strength, wisdom, steady
      • presence, and the love he showed in both big and small ways every day.
      • He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandee Schrum; his four sons: Kent Schrum and his wife
      • Carrie, and their children Gabrielle and her husband Garrett Wischmeyer, with their children
      • Sawyer, Nevilley, and Josephine; Skyler, Hailey, Caleb, Korey, Keagan, and Sophia; Brent
      • Schrum and his wife Cynthia, with their children Hannah and Hueston; Chad Schrum and his
      • wife Amy, with their children Logan and Cassidy and her husband Justin Hastings; and Nichalos
      • Schrum and his children Isabella and Vincent. He is also survived by his sister Claudia Creaven
      • and her husband John; his sister Gail Boyer and her husband John; his sisters-in-law Tina
      • Schrum, Angie Richards, and Karen Green; along with many beloved nieces, nephews,
      • extended family members, and dear friends including Jeanne Sumpter.
      • Harry was preceded in death by his father, Hueston Schrum; his mother, Margaret (Politte)
      • Schrum; one brother, Anthony Schrum; one sister, Mary Wilkinson; and brothers-in-law Larry
      • Wilkinson, Billy Jarvis, Terry Richards and Loyd Green. Those who knew Harry will remember 
      • not only his faithful spirit and love for his family, but also
      • his warm sense of humor and the way he could make others smile with a well-timed comment or
      • quiet wit. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including keeping his car spotless with a careful
      • washing and waxing whenever he had the opportunity. He was a man who believed in doing
      • things well, treating others kindly, and remaining faithful through every season of life.
      • Most of all, Harry’s family takes comfort in the Bible’s promise of the resurrection and looks
      • forward to the day when they will welcome him back on earth, along with his parents, brother,
      • sister, and many dear friends and loved ones who have fallen asleep in death before him.
      • Harry’s life leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, love, humility, humor, and devotion to family.
      • He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved until the joyful day they see him again.
      • A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of
      • Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1818 Hwy D Farmington, MO 63640 with Brother Aaron Truchon officiating.
