Harvey Joe Rickard

Harvey Joe Rickard of Farmington passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the age of 70. He was born on April 7, 1942, at Bell Gardens, CA, son of Harvey Joe Rickard Sr.and Katherine Gertrude (Hill) Rickard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Rickard. Harvey was born and raised in the state of California where he made his home until two months ago when he came to Farmington to live with his son and his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He dearly loved California and the desert. He was a boilermaker by trade and had traveled the country in his profession. In his retirement prospecting for gold in his native desert land was a passion of his. Flying model airplanes and fishing and bird hunting were also hobbies of his. Harvey was loved dearly and will be sorely missed by his family. He is survived by his sons, Harvey Joe (Pamela) Rickard, Jr. and Tracy Joe (Angela) Rickard; five granddaughters, Katherine Harrington, McKenzie Rickard, Emily Rickard, Madeline Rickard and Danielle Rickard; four sisters and several nieces and nephews.
