Helen Resinger Geiler

March 22, 1925 — November 7, 2015

Helen (Batchelor) Resinger Geiler, of Farmington, passed away November 7, 2015 at Community Manor at the age of 90 years. She was born March 22, 1925 in De Soto, Missouri to the late George and Ruth (Scott) Batchelor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Vernon Resinger, and his wife, Betty, and Roger Resinger; a son-in-law, Fred Jackson; and her former husband, Vernon Resinger. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, George Batchelor, and his wife, Ann, Richard Batchelor, and his wife, Delores, Harold Batchelor and a sister, Ruth Bernice Woodson, and her husband, Peck and a brother-in-law, Bob Fairchild. Early in Helen's life she worked as a central supply technician at several local hospitals. She then went to work at McDonnell Douglas as a riviter from where she retired in 1991. In her retirement she enjoyed working as a volunteer at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus. She had been a member of the Eastern Star. She touched many lives at the nursing home where she had resided with her sass and her spunk. Helen is survived by three children, Barbara Jackson of Festus, Bill (Sue) Resinger of Leadwood and Bonnie (John) West of Farmington; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Fairchild of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 10 from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Glasshof officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Farmington Food Pantry.
