Imogene S. Stone

FARMINGTON - Imogene S. Stone of Farmington passed away October 10, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield at the age of 79. She was born February 19, 1939 in Lutesville, MO to the late Willard Smith and Evelyn (Burchett) Buchanan. Imogene retired as a registered nurse from the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington where she served as a volunteer for charitable missions. Imogene was passionate about ancient, Egyptian and British history. She enjoyed costume designing, tapestry making, quilting, gardening, and ceramic painting. Imogene was very generous to others and had a very kind heart. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her two sons, David Stone of Long Beach, CA and Doug (& wife Roberta) Stone of La Palma, CA, three grandchildren, Alexander, Zachary and Sierra Stone, her brother, Jerry (& wife Kay) Smith of Wetumpka, AL, nephews, Samuel (& wife Jodi) Smith and Phillip (& wife Heather) Smith, niece, Erin Reilly, special friends, Mary Brandel, Ruth Gollaher, Patsy Crump and Jackie and Mike Freeman, cousins and many other friends.
