J. Patrick Farrell

J. Patrick Farrell, of Farmington, passed away suddenly at his home on September 7, 2025, at the age of 51.

Born on July 6, 1974, in Winfield, Illinois, J. was the son of Michael and Ann Farrell. He spent his early years in Colorado before moving to the Farmington area during high school, where he attended and played football for North County High School. J. had a lifelong passion for sports, especially football, and shared that passion through years of coaching in the Mineral Area Youth Football League.

For the past twenty years, J. was a dedicated employee at Home Depot in Festus. Outside of work, he enjoyed mountain biking, skiing, and cheering on his beloved Denver Broncos. He was also a proud supporter of Farmington Football.

J. is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Amanda “Mandi” (Griggs) Farrell; his son, Connor Farrell; his mother, Ann (Bleigh) Farrell of Farmington; his father, Mike (Diane) Farrell of Venice, FL; his sister, Marijane (Josh) Vest of Indianapolis, IN; nieces, Erin Vest, Alexandra Vest, and Camden Griggs; nephew, Cooper Griggs; mother-in-law, Anita (Larry) Gray; brother-in-law, Eric (Erika) Griggs; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Betty Farrell and Kenny and Ollie Bleigh, as well as his father-in-law, Mark Griggs.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m., officiated by family friend Todd McKinney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to FHS Football, Shepherd Mountain Bike Park, or the Kiwanis Club of Farmington Mark Griggs Scholarship Fund.
