HERRIN, ILLINOIS - Jamie Lynn Gore, formerly of Farmington, Missouri, passed away May 16, 2025, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 60. Jamie was born in Bonne Terre on February 6, 1965, to the late Henry Allen Gore and Willa Mae (Wright) Gore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Gore.
Jamie grew up in Farmington where he attended school. After high school and at a young age, he began working at Presbyterian Manor where he was a Med Tech. Later, he went to work at Southwestern Bell, now AT&T, where he made his career as an operator. A talented guitarist and vocalist, he regularly performed locally. Many will remember his vocal impersonations, which were always spot on. He had a green thumb and was an expert on plant life. He was a Master Gardener and loved floral design. For a time, he owned and operated a club in French Village called Norma Jean's Restaurant and Pub. Cooking was a passion, especially entertaining friends and family on holidays and special events. Jamie was proud to have volunteered his time as a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. He also enjoyed singing to residents at local nursing homes.
Survivors include his beloved life partner and soulmate, Terry Rockett; sister, Christla (Crystal) Gore and brother, Nathan Gore and wife, Patty; five nieces and nephews, Justin (Christina) Brown, Brandi Luffy, Mia Polizzi, Sarah Gore and William "Willie" Gore; four great nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins as well.
