FARMINGTON - Jean Allison, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on May 22, 1934, in Higden, Arkansas, to the late Jesse and Ovie (Cullum) Allen. Jean's vibrant spirit and loving nature enriched the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know her.
Jean is survived by her three cherished children, James H. Allison Jr., Jeff (Tracy) Allison, and Jon Allison. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Jean also leaves behind her brother, Willis Allen, and her aunt, Wavel Rice, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Allison Sr., as well as her siblings: Silvia Walker, Jimmy Allen, Kathleen Vaughn, and Irene Ubanoski. The bonds of family were paramount to Jean, and she treasured the time spent with them, particularly during family reunions where laughter and love surrounded her.
Jean enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought her joy and satisfaction. Her passion for gardening allowed her to nurture life and beauty in her surroundings, while her fondness for going to flea markets and collecting marbles added a sense of excitement to her life. Time spent outdoors brought her peace, and above all, it was the moments shared with her family that filled her heart.
A visitation will be held on March 2, 2025, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel with the funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. Jean will be laid to rest with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
