FARMINGTON – John Eric Renshaw, 51, of Farmington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 27, 2025. He was born August 22, 1974, in Sandwich, Illinois, to Fred and Carolyn (Lunsford) Renshaw. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and John E. Lunsford, and John Terrance and Margie Elizabeth Renshaw, and a granddaughter, Olivia Renshaw.
John was a long-time resident of the Farmington area and had been employed in past years as a tow truck driver for both Marler Towing and Buckley Towing. He loved horses, especially Arabian horses, and rode in many parades. An avid outdoorsman, John loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Sons of VFW. His solid work ethic was evident in his hard-working nature. He loved God and his family and was a dedicated and devout caregiver to his beloved granddaughter, Felicity.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his granddaughter, Felicity; sister, Terri (Tiffany) Michele Renshaw, brother, Fred Terrance (Marla) Renshaw II, and sister, Amanda Marie (Bobby) Conaway; his wife, Lisa Marie Renshaw; sons, Chris (Christina) Renshaw, Nathan (Natasha) Renshaw, Kyle (Christina) Renshaw, and one daughter, Allysa Spitsmiller; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be given in John’s name to Autism Speaks.
