John Bradley Smith

John Bradley Smith, known to those who loved him as Brad, passed away at home on April 10, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 75. Born in Sacramento, California, Brad served six years in the U.S. Navy, where his love of travel and adventure took root. He lived and worked around the world, spending the most time in Saudi Arabia with his wife and daughters, before settling in southeast Missouri in 2000 to be close to family.

Brad will be remembered for his youthful energy and kind heart. He was an incredible husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Hoeh-Smith and his daughters, Valerie Olsson (Anders) and Monika Smith (Lucas Hotop). He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Jack Smith and his brother, Blair Smith.
