June Inez Cowan

FARMINGTON -June Inez Cowan of Farmington passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center at the age of 89 years. She was born July 2, 1925 at Bismarck daughter of the late Raymond Stanley and Maymie Kathleen (Thompson) Wilson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lelan Louis Cowan, two sons Jerald Alan Frederick, and Wesley Loften Cowan, two brothers Roy A. Wilson, and Raymond S. Wilson, and one sister Sylvia McGuirk. June was a longtime and active member of the United Memorial Methodist Church of Farmington, Farmington Order of the Eastern Star # 430, past board member of Farmington P.A.T.H. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and watching movies. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her including her children, Larry L. ( & Barbara) Cowan of St. Louis, and Kathy (& George) Wiles of Farmington. Four grandchildren, Richard ( & Rene) Cowan of New Mexico, Michael ( & Lori) Cowan of Iowa, Chelsea Wiles of Farmington and Jackie Wiles of Farmington. Two great-grandchildren, three sister-in-laws and numerous other nieces nephews, other relatives and dear friends and neighbors. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning after 7 a.m. and continue until the time of the service at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Scott Hall officiating. Interment will be in the Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. Memorials if desired, may be made to either the Bismarck Masonic Cemetery or Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
