Kaitlin Claire Wagener

September 27, 1986 — July 15, 2018

Imperial, MO - Kaitlin Claire Wagener, born September 27, 1986, left this life on July 15, 2018, in Lesterville, MO. On the wings of angels, she arrived in her heavenly home for a reunion with her grandparents Red and Sally Wagener, Grandpa William F. Cliffe Jr., Aunt Kay Cliffe, and Uncle Chris Cliffe. Kaitlin carried joy and a smile to each person who crossed her path and loved generously. She had a gentle heart and cared deeply about people struggling with lifes challenges. From her earliest age, Kaitlin radiated goodness and kindness. Her sweet spirit has left this earth, but her memory will always have a place in our hearts. She loved food smothered in condiments, cheap gaudy jewelry, and a pup, "Cali girl," who was her constant companion. To know Kaitlin was to love her. She took fashion cues from no one, yet managed a look that was uniquely confident and perfect for her bubbly personality. She was fun, energetic and loved a good workout. The familys cabin on the Black River was Kaitlins favorite place. She loved being the big "Sissy" to Kenzie, late nights watching silly movies with her mom Connie and being called "Bobbett" because she looked like her dad Bob. A natural athlete, Kaitlin excelled in volleyball, track and basketball. She played CYC, high school and collegiate athletics. A standout volleyball player at Windsor High School, Kaitlin attended Jefferson County Community College on a volleyball scholarship and later attended Chicago State College and Missouri Baptist University. Her love of volleyball continued as a coach introducing young girls to the sport. Survivors include her loving parents Bob and Connie Wagener; sister Kenzie King (Jordan); her Gram Constance Cliffe; aunts and uncles Barb and Ken Meadow, Rick and Colleen Hartfield, Bill and Patty Cliffe, Jennifer and John Kaiser and Sue Cliffe. She is sadly missed by her Cliffe, Hartfield, Kaiser, Kramer and Schulz cousins, great aunts and uncles, many friends and especially coaches Stephanie Dueker and Mike Price. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Windsor High School gymnasium, 949 Windsor Harbor Road, Imperial, MO. The family invites everyone to join them for a meal, and sharing of more memories of Kaitlin, following the service at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, Imperial, MO 63052.
