Katie Jo “KK” Eaves, 46, of Farmington, Missouri, passed away on March 17, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital, surrounded by all her family. She was born on March 13, 1980, in Farmington, Missouri, to Mike and Nancy Eaves.
Katie dedicated 22 years of her life as a beloved kindergarten and preschool teacher. She had a true gift for working with children and made a lasting impact on countless young lives. Outside of the classroom, Katie loved spending time at the lake, camping, attending sports events for her nieces and nephews and playing Pass the Trash and any kind of game with family and friends. Most of all, she cherished being with her family. Katie could sit for hours with her nieces and nephews playing whatever game they desired. Katie was always up for a trip and would go along anywhere her family would go. She was known as the best aunt and the biggest supporter to her nieces and nephews. She also cherished her close group of teacher friends, whom she looked forward to seeing and spending time with each week.
Katie will be remembered for her sweet soul, her kind heart, and a smile and laugh that was contagious. Anyone who met Katie said she was the sweetest person you could ever meet. She was a great daughter and a loyal sister. Katie was so loved by her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
She is survived by her loving parents, Mike and Nancy Eaves; her brother, Derrick Eaves and Lindsey Harris Eaves; her sister, Callie and Tim Middleton; her nieces and nephews, Chase Middleton, Landon Middleton, Kannon Eaves, Scout Middleton, Ellie Eaves, and Walker Eaves; her godmother, Susan Faenger; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins including Robert Kollmeyer and Maggie, Kenny Kollmeyer and Sharon, Patricia (Eaves) Sykes, Kenneth Eaves, Gentry Jr. “Bud” Eaves and Martha, Cousins Laura (Kollmeyer) Caldwell and Shawn, Matthew Kollmeyer, Cody Kollmeyer, Amanda (Faenger) Stegall and Danny, Kendra (Kollmeyer) Graham and Mike, Maggie (Kollmeyer) Bannister and Aaron, Beverly (Sykes) Davidson and Doug, Curtis Sykes and Cindi, Toni (Eaves) Fielder and Mike, Tara (Eaves) Gonzales and Carlos, Debbie (Eaves) Koch and Kevin, Brian Eaves and Meggan, and Becky(Eaves) Kliethermes and Brett.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gentry Sr. Eaves and Ida (Woods) Eaves, and Eugene and Nellie (Laws) Kollmeyer; her uncles, Joseph Faenger and Royce Sykes; and her cousins, Rocky Sykes and John Kollmeyer.
Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Tuesday, March 24, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral beginning at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor David Schmitt officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St.Paul Lutheran Church or School or any charity of your choice.
Katie’s love for her family and friends will never be forgotten. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Her love for her nieces and nephews is something that will live on in their hearts forever. They will never forget their Aunt KK.
