Kelly Sue Goodson

DOE RUN - Kelly Sue Goodson of Doe Run passed away September 30, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 50. She was born February 1, 1968 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri to the late Benjamin Baird and Bonnie (Wigger) Baird. Those who knew Kelly will tell you she was one of the most kind and giving people they've ever known. She was always there for family and friends in both good and bad times. Like any outstanding mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend, Kelly put the needs of those around her above her own. Whether sharing a laugh with family, or helping those who were hurting, Kelly was always there for those in need. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. She had a special love for little children. They never failed to bring a smile to her face. One of Kelly's proudest moments came recently when she became a grandmother to a new baby girl. Kelly loved life. She loved to smile, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. Her life serves as an example for all of us to what is truly important. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but we rest easy knowing that her struggles are over, and that today she is resting in the mercy, grace, and love of our Lord and Savior. Survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, Terry Goodson of Doe Run, her son, Cody (& wife Haley) Goodson of Desloge, her granddaughter, Harper Goodson, her brother, Sam (& wife Lisa) Baird of Farmington, her mother in law, Edna Jean Goodson of Mineral Point, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 3 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will resume at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday morning until time of service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
