Lefern E. Lanemann

ST. CHARLES - LeFern E. Lanemann, of St. Charles and formerly of Farmington, passed away on March 13, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital at the age of 82. She was born in Matthews on August 26, 1934 to the lateWilliam Alvie Dean and Ruthie May (Walker) Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Edward E. Lanemann in 2004; a daughter, Karen Macken; her step-father, Walter Williams; a sister, Iris Jean Bush; a nephew, David Boyer and a grandson, Christopher L. Zahn.

LeFern was short in stature but feisty and opinionated. She was a very hard worker who was giving and generous to those she loved. One of her favorite things was to remodel and redecorate her home.

Survivors include seven sons, Gary Zahn, Timmy Zahn, Larry Zahn, Walter Zahn, Mickey Zahn, Michael Chadwell and Thomas Chadwell; one daughter, Angela Renee Vasquez; and a special granddaughter raised as a daughter, Tanya Necole Noll; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Boyer and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5 8 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 17 in the Cozean Chapel.
