Linda L. Penberthy, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on January 12, 2026, at Cedarhurst Senior Living at the age of 82. She was born on September 29, 1943, in Slater, Missouri, to John Kuenzel Sr. and Mary (Gotmer) Kuenzel.
Linda dedicated 43 years of service as a Senior Deputy Clerk for the United States Court of Appeals before retiring. A devout Catholic, she generously volunteered in many areas of the church, sang in the church choir, and faithfully assisted her husband, Robert, with his duties as a deacon. She was a current member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington.
Linda had a love for travel and was always planning her next adventure.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Williams and husband Steve of Farmington; her granddaughters, Madelyn, Meredith, and Emily; her niece, Carol Stubblefield; her nephew, Joseph Haberberger; and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Steven Penberthy; her brother, John Joseph “Jack” Kuenzel Jr.; her sister, Georgine Haberberger (wife of the late Eugene Haberberger); and her niece, Lauren LaBar.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington, with Father Mark Whitman as celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
