Lorene Elizabeth Crismon, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on July 1, 2026, at her home, just four days after celebrating her 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends.
Born on June 27, 1926, in Posey, Illinois, Lorene was the daughter of Henry and Frieda (Brink) Vogel.
Lorene is survived by her son-in-law, David Herbst; her daughter-in-law, Catherine Crismon; her granddaughters, Tracy Kocher and Lisa (Scott) Smout; her great-grandchildren, Claire (Ethan) Milburn, Emma (Ronnie) Burr, Sam Smout, and Sadie Schneider; her great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Milburn; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Charles "Chas" Henry Crismon; her daughter, Linda Herbst; her son, Mark Crismon; and her siblings, Carl Vogel, Martin Vogel, and Bernice Friedrichsmeyer.
Lorene retired from Emerson Electric after more than 40 years of dedicated service as a payroll clerk. She was a faithful Christian, was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and participated in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed time with the quilt-tacking group.
She found joy in crafting, especially cross-stitch, loved playing pinochle and was an avid Hummel collector. Family gatherings were made even more special by her delicious homemade pies, which everyone looked forward to during the holidays. Alongside her husband, she enjoyed traveling the world, creating cherished memories on many adventures, often bringing her granddaughters, Tracy and Lisa, along for the journey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 609 E. Columbia Street, Farmington, Missouri, with Pastor David Schmitt officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
