Marilyn Bonnie Hasty passed away in Farmington, Missouri, on December 1, 2025, at the age of 61. She was born in St. Louis on March 28, 1964, to Bonnie (Brunk) Hasty Pratt and the late David Leon Hasty. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Pratt; grandparents, Jakie and Nellie Hasty, and Lawrence and Mauda Brunk.

Marilyn’s childhood was spent on the family farm south of Belleview, Missouri, alongside her parents and brother. Her early life was rich with travel, which included exploring 28 states with her family in their travel trailer. She graduated from Arcadia Valley High School in 1982 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Webster University. Most recently, she resided in Beverly Shores, Indiana, where she served as Chief Financial Officer at ACMS Group, an industrial construction contracting firm based in Valparaiso, Indiana. Before ACMS, she was employed as an accountant with construction contractors in Missouri, Texas, and Indiana. Marilyn enjoyed the outdoors: hiking, boating, and water skiing, riding motorcycles, leather working, sewing, and most of all, she loved her dogs.

Her profound love for dogs was a lifelong passion that began with the family dog, Snoopy, and continued with Indy, Anna, and Zoey. She was a devoted and loving dog mom who made sure each pet lived their best life. Marilyn was in her element when walking her dogs along the shores of Lake Michigan, but in all actuality, her family notes, the dogs often walked her.

She loved her home in Beverly Shores, Indiana, for its quiet environment and proximity to the beach. The peacefulness and solitude there made it her happy place. Missouri, however, always held a special place in her heart, and she enjoyed visiting family and friends. Marilyn will be remembered as a kind-hearted, generous, sweet, intelligent, and hardworking woman whose gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Bonnie Pratt; a brother, David (Kathy) Hasty, Jr.; two sisters, Cindy (Dennis) Dement and Paula Waltman; nephews, Jake (Gabrielle) Hasty, Austin Hasty, Greg (Crystal) Dement, Mike (Sarah) Dement; a niece, Miranda (Cameron) Corona; great nieces, Peyton Hasty, Clara Corona, Megan (Gunner) LaBrot and great nephews, Louis Corona and Tristan Stotler.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington.
