Marion Thomas

FARMINGTON Marion L. "Tom" Thomas, of Farmington, left this station and slipped away aboard the Bluegrass Express on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 93years. Survivors include two daughters, Esther Rowland of Harstine Island, Washington and Marian Thomas of St. Louis as well as two granddaughters and one great grandson; his brother, V. R. "Bus" Thomas of Farmington and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 513, for over 50 years. On board the express he carries with him many happy memories of playing his fiddle at bluegrass festivals throughout the Midwest.

Mr. Thomas made an anatomical gift of his body to the St. Louis University School of Medicine. His immediate family will gather at a later date to remember and celebrate his life.
