Mary Alice Deremiah

Mary Alice Deremiah of Farmington entered eternal rest on July 17, 2025, at Georgian Gardens Care Center in Potosi at the age of 83. She was born to the late Odas H. Loughary and Katherine L. (Wallen) Loughary.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Orvis “Frank” Deremiah; her daughter, Mary Shaw; her brother, Alvis Loughary; and her sister, Lois Beard. She will also be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert Loughary, Harry Loughary, and Harvey Loughary.

Mary dedicated her life to education, working for many years as a teacher in several school districts. Her love of learning and teaching left a lasting impact on her students.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, and reading. She especially loved taking scenic road trips, appreciating the beauty of the world around her.
