Matthew Ellis Vincent, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025, at the age of 47 in Farmington, Missouri. Born on May 16, 1978, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, Matthew was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose life touched many.
Matthew was a dedicated equipment operator for Local 513 and a laborer for Local 110. He was known for his hard-working nature and his unwavering commitment to those around him. He was a "real" person who loved with his whole heart, often prioritizing the needs of others above his own. He had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did, from fishing trips with his nieces to deer hunting adventures, and even the thrill of skydiving. His hobbies reflected his vibrant personality, whether it was tending to his vegetable garden or expressing himself through his artistic talent and tattoos.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Frances (Bleckler) Barrett, and stepfather, James "Mike" Barrett; his siblings, Cira Duffe of Farmington, Jessica Vincent of San Diego, CA, and Brayden Barrett of Desloge. He was also a cherished uncle to his loving nieces—Kimberly Vincent, Allyson Kyle, Kaylyn Kyle, Ava "Jule Bug" Duffe, Daisy Guiher, and Jasmine Guiher—and nephews Ethan Kyle, Tristian Guiher, and Ashton Guiher. Matthew shared fond memories with his cousins, Timmy Wruck, Susan Mahurin, Jason Wruck, and David Wruck, along with many other relatives and friends who will remember him dearly.
Matthew is predeceased by his father, Thomas Ellis Vincent, and siblings, Deborah Vincent and Thomas Ellis Vincent ll.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory located at 217 West Columbia Street in Farmington, Missouri. The visitation will take place on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:30 PM officiated by Rachel Jue.
