Nadia Louise Emmett, of Farmington, entered eternal rest at her home on July 18, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on October 19, 1931, in Hurryville, Missouri, to the late Dan Francis and Menta (Huddleston) Miller.
Nadia is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Keller; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her aunt Eleanora, nieces and nephews; her dear friend, Miranda Bromley; and many other cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Ramey, and her second husband, Lloyd E. Emmett; her son, William Ramey; daughters, Wanda Willis and Brenda McCarty; granddaughter, Dawn Clark; sisters, Gerry Coppin and Sylvia Morris; brother, J.D. Miller; sons-in-law, Bill Willis and Lewis McCarty; and her beloved canine companion, Timmy.
Nadia dedicated many years of her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant, serving with compassion in various nursing homes and hospitals. A woman of deep Christian faith, she was baptized at Three Rivers Church and remained spiritually strong throughout her life.
A gifted and lifelong musician, Nadia played several string instruments and lent her voice to bands that performed in nursing homes, churches, and even honky-tonks. Her strong will, spirited personality, and infectious giggle made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had the rare gift of brightening even the darkest day.
Nadia will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Carl Hutchinson. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery.
