Norma Jean Dean

Norma Jean Dean of Terre Du Lac passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007, at Parkland Health Center North at the age of 79 years. She was born at Irondale, the daughter of the late Orville Pyatt and Alma (Pyeatt) Marler. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James G. Roux, and a sister, Barbara Mack. She loved the outdoors and all animals, especially her cat and three dogs. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved her family and friends very much. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Dean, a son, Terry Dean of Fredericktown, three grandchildren, Timothy and Rebecca Dean of St. Louis, and Troy Exler of Arnold, a daughter-in-law, Lori Merli of St. Louis, a brother, Clarence Roux of Bonne Terre, a sister Henrietta Dye of Farmington, and a sister-in-law, Edith Roux of St. Louis. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2007. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery at 2 p.m..
