Richard Woods

ST. CHARLES - Richard H. Woods of St Charles and formerly of Farmington, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at the age of 73. He was born January 6, 1944 in Farmington to the late Effie (Hoehn) and Luther Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Pritchett, Lucille Wright, Laverne Morris and one brother Donald Woods. Richard retired from McBride & Sons in 1999. He was a member of Carpenters Local 32. He was also a member of City Light Baptist Church in Ofallon, Missouri.

Richard is survived by his wife Sandra of 53 years; two children Patrick (Marie) Woods of Wentzville and Kathy Woods of St Charles; and two grandchildren Erin and Mikayla Woods of Wentzville.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Charles Missouri from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Richard will be taken back to his birthplace of Farmington where he will have another visitation held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Cozean Funeral Home, 217 West Columbia Street in Farmington 63640. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Jim Hamman officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
