Robert 'Bob' Nelson Capps

FARMINGTON Robert "Bob" Nelson Capps, of Farmington, formerly of Cahokia, IL, entered eternal rest on April 4, 2024, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 73. He was born on October 14, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri to Noble and Jenna Mae (Icke) Capps. Bob is survived by his wife of 29 years, Brenda (Johnson) Capps, his children, Bobby (Cyndi) Capps of Cahokia, IL, Lisa (Danny) Followell of New Bern, NC, Jackie (Kenny Sr.) Chiarelli of Farmington, Tina Hickman of Farmington, and Karen Lutes of Farmington, his grandchildren, Kenny, Steven, Chelsea (Jason), Kalista, Trinity (David), Malayna (Parker), Doc, Ranger, Elle, Judge, and Amelia, six great grandchildren, his siblings, Sue Bryant of Anna, IL, Gloria (Donald) Ramsey of Chester, IL, and Charles Capps of Jefferson City, his sister-in-law, Violet Capps of Millstadt, IL, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Tito Capps, Mary Capps, Sam Capps, and Claude Capps. Bob retired as a truck driver in 2012 from USF Holland and received an award for "a million plus safe driving miles". He was a member of the Teamsters Union for 40 years and was currently employed as a transport driver for Quality Transportation. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan and loved riding his Harley, fishing, bluegrass music and the artist, Mollie B. "who could play every instrument! "Bob will be forever remembered as being a hard worker, a jokester, a jack of all trades, and someone who always wore a smile! A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
